TSH - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone

TSH - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone is made by the pituitary gland, a tiny organ located below the brain and behind the sinus cavities.

TSH is part of the body’s endocrine feedback system known as the hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis. It's purpose is to maintain the correct amounts of the thyroid hormones in the blood. In doing this TSH provides the correct metabolic balance between the external environmental challenges and the available energy resources that the body has at it's disposal.
